Applications of Laser Compton γ-ray

Unique gamma-ray beam is generated by colliding laser photons by high-energy electron beams in the NewSUBARU storage ring.
This type of gamma-ray beam has a special features of an energy tunable, a quasi-monochromatic and a polarization controllable source.
We are pursuing 1) basic researches of transmutation for nuclear radioactive waste disposal, 2) researches on astro-nuclear physics and nuclear synthesis, and 3) non-distractive inspections by gamma-ray beam.
