Industrial use of Material Analysis and Surface Modification using SR
The use of soft X-ray spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation is flourished in the industrial fields, such as material development, surface coatings, and environmental analysis from its applicability of chemical analysis to a thin film with several nm thicknesses with element selectivity.
The division of industrial analysis in NewSUBARU has made contribution to industrial field via some co-researches with industrial companies for a decade. In addition, a novel analysis beamline for industrial users was constructed at BL05 in 2008, which enabled wide industrial users to perform soft X-ray spectroscopic analysis, easily.
This industrial analysis beamline was designed by taking of account general users in the industrial companies. We aim the promotion of material development industry via the improvement and advancement of technology and competitiveness of the participant companies.
